Orchard Breeze Farm - Orrtanna, PA
Orchard Breeze Farm in Orrtanna, PA is owned and operated by James Grinder. His pigs are 100% Certified Berkshire. Berkshires are a heritage breed pig that are prized for their juicy and flavorful pork. The sows have only two litters of piglets a year and are never confined to farrowing crates. The pigs are humanely raised, are never given any artificial hormones, and are treated with antibiotics only in rare instances if they are sick. The pigs are rotationally grazed on fields and woodlands that are not treated with herbicides, insecticides, or petroleum-based fertilizers. All of their pigs are butchered under USDA inspection standards at a local family owned butcher shop in Littlestown, PA. The pork is dry aged, i.e., aged without the use of any chemicals, and are shipped frozen for your convenience.
