Anschuetz Farm - Gettysburg, PA

At Anschuetz Farm in Gettysburg, PA, they begin each spring with piglets that are raised on pasture from spring until they are butchered in the fall. Their primary diet is from pasture, although some fruits, vegetables, and grain are given as a supplement to what they can forage. The pigs are humanely raised and are never given any artificial hormones and are only treated with antibiotics in rare instances if they are sick.  The pigs are rotationally grazed on fields that are not treated with herbicides, insecticides, or petroleum based fertilizers.  All of their pigs are butchered under USDA Inspection standards at a local family owned butcher shop in Littlestown, PA.  The pork is dry aged (aging without the use of any chemicals) and shipped frozen for your convenience.
