Apple Valley Creamery is a family-owned dairy farm, creamery, and home delivery service. We are committed to reducing the use of antibiotics, pesticides, and genetically modified crops in American agriculture. We also believe in the benefits of products from animals that are treated ethically and allowed to freely roam and forage on large pastures.
Responsibilities As a Route Sales Professional, you will be responsible for managing routes supplying fresh products to up to 350 households and businesses each week. You will go through a custom training program led by our Route Sales Coordinator and Vice President designed to set you up for success so that you can operate safely and consistently exceed our customers' expectations and your sales goals. You will be provided with an established customer base that you will manage and grow. Your success as a Route Sales Professional may lead to significant advancement opportunities. In fact, several members of our leadership team, including our President, Vice President and Director of Operations started as Route Sales Professionals.
- 2 years sales or customer service experience.
- Prior route sales or route service experience is preferred, but not required.
- A passion for providing outstanding service.
- Desire to have personal accountability to drive your own income.
- Willing to spend 3-5 hours per week on new customer calls.
- Friendliness and flexibility, while being detail oriented in order fulfillment
- Ability to pass a drug test and physical as required by the Department of Transportation.
- Clean driving record
- Ability to lift 45 lbs.
- Willing to work an average of 45 hours per week, which is usually Monday through Friday from 6:30 am until 4pm.
Additional Requirements Our trucks only require a class C (regular) driving license. All trucks are fully automatic. Candidates need to have a good driving record and be at least 21 years of age.
Compensation Commission based on product sales to your home delivery and wholesale customers. Starting compensation averages $34-37k per year, with strong upwards $ potential as the sales route is developed. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package.
