Our dairy farm has been owned and operated by the Stoner family since 1928. In recent years, as farming operations became bigger throughout the country, small family owned and operated dairy farms have struggled to remain profitable.
Instead of expanding the size of the dairy herd, the Stoner family chose to start selling milk directly to the public as a way to keep their small farm in business.
Realizing that the task was too large for his young family, Larry shared his vision with Don & Cindy Everett. In 2005 the two families joined together to begin Apple Valley Creamery. After a year and a half of construction, the families opened their farm store in October 2006 to sell their milk directly to the public.
In December 2007 the farm expanded its operation by offering a home delivery service. We deliver fresh local products to more than 600 customers. We believe that local foods from sustainable farms taste better, are fresher, and are better for you and the environment.
In July of 2016 the Everetts sold their portion of the business to the Stoners to pursue other interests. Larry & Sharon are thankful for the Everetts and their hard work and devotion over the years to help make the vision a reality.
We are happy to welcome you to our farm to talk to the farmers and see where your milk is produced and bottled.
Apple Valley Creamery is here to connect you and your family to our local family farm. We are open and transparent about how we produce simple healthy food.
